A Guide to Choosing Sunglasses

Sunglasses are probably the most common accessories that men (and women) use when peacocking during the day. Of course, there will always be those who would screw up their look by wearing sunglasses in the evening, but I don’t care about those. I care about those who are at least smart enough to wear them at the right time of the day.

Choosing the style of your sunglasses doesn’t depend only on your taste, but on other factors as well.

Protection from UV

One major contributor to eye disease is ultraviolet radiation. This is why it is important to choose a pair of sunglasses that protect you from the harmful effect of UV. Just because your glasses have a dark tint doesn’t mean that you are protect from UV. Make sure you check the sunglasses UV rating.

Don’t buy a pair of sunglasses just because they look cute or they’re studded with blings. Choose sunglasses that have UV protection. Remember, just because the glasses are tinted, doesn’t follow that it will protect you from the sun’s rays.

Shape of your face

Generally, the rule that opposites attract can be applied to this. If you’ve got an oval or a round-shaped face, choose sunglasses that are square-shaped or that has clear edges. Otherwise, if you have a square jaw, choose big round-shaped glasses.

Different Tints

The tints affect how much light are going to be in contact with your eyes. You can choose whatever tint you like as long as you look decent, but you have to remember that yellow tints tend to distort color while gray tints don’t and will also reduce glare.

Be sure to remember these things, because in peacocking, you’re not only after style, but functionality as well. If you’re just buying accessories blindly, without considering how those will affect you, you might as well stop with your foolishness.
