Statements shirts have been making a major hype nationwide. The more witty and simpler the statement is on your shirt, the more eye-catching it is for girls. Personally, I did give second looks on some guys’ shirts when I notice it’s funny or contains a pun. One of the favorite statement shirts I saw had a drawing of a shift button followed by “happens” (Shift happens). I laughed my head off when I saw the pun because it was very funny. I think statements like those are cool.
However, I’ve also been seeing crude statements on shirts, and those are just plain offensive. Shirts containing sexual innuendos are the worst kind, and I’m overwhelmed and angered by the fact that rather a lot of guys are still choosing to wear those kinds of shirts. Sometimes, I even see guys with their girlfriends, wearing offensive shirts like those. It makes me crazy, to tell you the truth.
So to make sure you don’t make an ass of yourself in front of your girlfriend, your girlfriend’s family, and the general public, be aware of the statement that the shirt has and make sure you understand it, literally and figuratively. Don’t just buy some shirt with a very vulgar humor. Yes, it will get you second looks. But looks of disdain, I tell you.
