Music events like the MTV Music Summit spawn a lot of creatures that weird me out: EMOS. When events like this take place, they are suddenly everywhere, and they emerge in large groups of tens and twenties. Together, they look like a black plague. Literally because they all wear black, and they’re annoying and scary like a plague.
Last Wednesday some of my friends and I went out for some drinks and bonding time to Pier One in SM Mall of Asia. Upon setting foot on the ground, we were immediately surrounded and practically devoured by the foul-smelling, dirty-looking, eyeliner-overdosing teens who were going to the summit.
Good thing we weren’t also heading over there, because we would have died standing cheek to cheek and dancing with them while watching the concert. Instead, we stayed at Pier One as I’ve mentioned, had Kamikaze, Weng Weng, Crispy Pata, and a lot of chips.
We went home at around 2am, and by then, still a lot of the creatures were scattered all over the mall waiting for a ride home. Seriously, if there really were any blood-sucking creatures, they would’ve passed as being one.
Note: above is my rather blurry shot of some of the emo boys. It was blurry because I was seriously a little scared they would jump on me and suck my blood.
