Sneakers as a fashion statement

My brother has a thing for sneakers. He’s a dancer, and aside from the fact that he has several pairs of sneakers for the various costume changes during performances, he buys sneakers because they make him look good. I guess it’s part of his peacocking ways, haha. After all, sneakers work pretty much like accessories, too. The right pair of shoes is needed for the perfect ensemble. You might have nice hair, a good shirt, and great pants, but if you don’t get the right pair of shoes, you won’t be able to pull the look off.

Choose the right sneakers for you

Sneakers come in various styles, colors and sizes. They’re comfy to wear, and a good pair can last you a darn long time. Whether those are genuine Reebok high tops or fake Jordans, it doesn’t really matter. If it looks good and it feels right, wear it, and wear it proud. If you can’t buy those expensive sneakers, you can always dress up whatever pair you have! An old pair of Chucks? Get some felt pens or acrylic or textile paint, then go wild with the design. A friend of mine even decided to glam up her sneakers with some rhinestones and shiny beads, and people ask where she bought them. Imagine that. Your shoes, your bling. I can see why my brother and his friends make sure that they’re dressed the part — from head to foot, from baseball cap to their favorite pair of sneakers. You’ll never go wrong with this peacocking tip, the right sneakers for the right set of threads is essential in the fly boy stylebook.
