More than good looks and the right attitude, the other thing that most people find attractive with the opposite sex is smell. If you look good but you stink, it would still be useless. But it takes more that a shower and deodorant to really express your attitude and style. These are some tips to help you choose the right scent for you.
1. Determine your budget.
Perfumes are generally expensive, especially the really good ones. But just because something is expensive, it doesn’t necessarily follow that it will suit your style. Don’t content yourself with something that’s expensive and expect that it will do miracles for you. Instead, know your style and allot a budget, and choose from the selections of perfumes on that budget. There are a lot of different choices anyway so you can be sure that you can find the right one for you.
2. Know what particular smell you want and go for it.
I’ve encountered a lot of teenagers, especially boys, using perfumes with a musky manly scent. Maybe it’s their attempt to act and smell older, but it turns out just weird. On the other hand, I’ve also encountered middle-aged women using baby cologne. It just doesn’t work that way. You have to know and understand your lifestyle and age before you decide to purchase a perfume. It’s really daunting meeting a young girl having a very seductive scent.
3. Examine carefully before buying.
You may have an allergy that you didn’t already know, so you have to test the perfume before you buy it. Spray a little on your wrist and wait if there’s any reaction on your skin. Of course, spraying 20 different perfumes consecutively could really have an effect on your skin, so try only a few at a time so your skin and nose don’t get irritated. The best neutralizer if you’re trying several perfumes is coffee, so have a sniff of that before switching to another scent.
Smelling good is as important as looking good, so don’t underestimate scents and absolutely be careful in buying a scent that’s right for you if you want to be irresistible.
